I have no idea where 2014 has vanished to but we’re only a matter of weeks away from the Festive Season and the buying frenzy which is Christmas Shopping… arghhh! I will hold my hands up and admit that I prefer to buy as much as possible online or at craft fairs and I completely avoid the town centre and retail parks if possible. What’s your preference? Drop me a comment to let me know. It’s something that fascinates me as we have such varying reactions to the entire concept of Christmas and shopping for presents.
On another note, I must offer up an apology to my dear readers and subscribers as I’ve been horribly quiet of late. Earlier this year I moved the site to new, far better, hosting with a UK provider and in the process started preparations for a new shop right here on TDE. I won’t bore you with details but suffice to say there were a few technical issues and before I could resolve them we were in to craft fair season. Long story short, I’m going to have a lot of work and updating to do once my last craft fair is out of the way next month.
HUGE thanks to those of you who popped along to support us at the Livingston Crafts Association fairs in Linlithgow and Livingston. Tumblethumps and hand felted soaps were fair flying through the doors. 🙂 Don’t forget that the next one will be in Linlithgow again, on 6th December 2014, in the Masonic Halls. More details will be available on the Facebook page closer to the time.
Meanwhile, as some of you will be aware, I’m a member of The Professional Crafter’s Guild. The PCG has today released its Christmas 2014 book featuring the handcrafted work of many of the highly skilled and talented Guild members… including yours truly. Do check it out and share it around, please. It might provide the inspiration you or someone else needs for those last minute Christmas gifts.
